RSG and Co. assisted Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, a Government company, to produce value-added products like Meta Para Cresol & Xylenol. Phenol, which was a critical ingredient for carbolic soaps, such as Lifebuoy, was also added to our product list.
In the year 1982, the Government of India had set aside major budget provisions to promote public sector companies. Hence, RSG & Co. established a division to focus on Government Tenders like ONGC, RCF, BHEL, Indian Navy, NLC, HIL, HOCL and Ordnance Factories.
With Denim Jeans getting popular in the 80’s, RSG & Co. began to promote Sodium Hydrosulphite, a key dispersing agent for the ‘Indigo blue denim fabric of Tamil Nadu Chemicals Products Limited. (TCP)
Shri Ramniklal S. Gosalia earned a respectable name in the trading chemical community and was well-known for his commitment, honesty, reliability and quality of service which in turn made him the President of the Chemical and Alkali Merchants Association in the year 1980. (The Silver Jubilee year of the Association)
In 1975, Ramniklal S. Gosalia’s elder son, Hiren Gosalia joined the business and he helped expand RSG’s base in South India, under his leadership RSG & Co. was appointed as a distributor to Periyar Chemicals Limited, Travancore Titanium Products Limited, etc and products like Sodium Formate, Copper Sulphate and Rubber Coagulating agents were added.
RSG became Distributors for Atul Chemicals now known as Aegis Chemicals for Formadehydrie, Hexamine, Pentaerythritol & Sodium Formate.
RSG Under the guidance of Late Shri Ramamurtay of Associated Agency, we started importing PVA 173 from Kurary, Japan.
RSG started distributing Caustic Soda Flakes & Soda Ash of ICI Ltd.
